This then is the elsewhere home of poetry. It begins by spelling out an interiority that rises from reflection, repetition and also differences within repetition. While entering such emphatic deflections, I have often wondered about the other homes of poetry (trans)lations that joyously ruffle the materiality of being to converse with acts of creative loneliness. These are conversations that unfold through luminous sadness and troubled affirmations. I walk stranded in this little forest of essays and poems. I walk engaging with the words. I hear them as gentle sounds, as my own memories, my own footfalls.
